Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Memset ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. The Service

Memset provides a persistent knowledge brain that stores memories you choose to save across AI platforms. We provide a web dashboard, browser extension, CLI tool, API, and MCP server for interacting with your brain.

3. Your account

  • You must provide a valid email address.
  • You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
  • One person per account. Shared accounts are not permitted.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Your data

You own your data. We don't claim any rights to the content you store. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit your data solely to provide the Service. This includes generating embeddings for semantic search, analyzing content for contradictions and synthesis, processing audio for transcription, processing images for text extraction, and generating personalized insights — all via third-party AI APIs as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to:

  • Store illegal content.
  • Abuse rate limits or attempt to bypass tier restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer or attack the infrastructure.
  • Impersonate others or create accounts to circumvent bans.

6. Paid plans

  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the billing period.
  • Downgrading to Free does not delete your memories, but you cannot store new ones beyond the free limit.
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for data loss, though we make best efforts to prevent it (regular backups, redundant storage).

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data is permanently deleted within 30 days.

9. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
